Terms of registering

Please read all FitEd Terms and Conditions in full before enrolling on a course(s), as they apply to all bookings. The terms and conditions of registering are provided in the student handbook upon registering.  They do not affect your statutory rights.

Prior to registering, you will need to confirm that you have read and accessed our website, and/or talked with one of our representatives, to decide which course(s) is best for your needs. While we will do all that we can to help you make the right choice, the ultimate decision is yours and yours alone.

For any queries, please call 07912 761986 or email info@fited.co.uk

Course Fees

Unless otherwise agreed with the learner / client, course fees are charged specific for each course and are excluding VAT. No charge is made for time worked in excess of normal hours by the tutor, unless previously agreed with the learner.

The fees quoted are subject to periodic review.  Our fee rates are normally reviewed with effect from 1st January each year. However, we will give at least one month's notice of any increase in fees.

Unless specified to the contrary, the fees quoted do not cover the costs of additional services e.g. printing costs. If any additional services are required, the costs incurred are therefore charged in addition to our fees.

Fees are paid or invoiced in advance of starting the course. Invoices are payable within 30 days of the invoice date (in accordance with the Late Payment Act, Stage Three, 2002). Learner registration log in details will not be available until the payment is cleared. For the Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (QCF), including Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (QCF), instalments can be made available for an advanced payment of £500, then an additional payment of £889 when the Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction (QCF) is complete and progression on Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (QCF) commences.

Any enquiries relating to an invoice should be referred to Gerraint Webb. Tel: 07912 761986, Email: gerraint@fited.co.uk.

FitEd needs to have relevant and current information about their learners / clients, their training and career plans in order to provide services within the standards laid down by the Awarding Body and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority’s various codes of practice.

All personal information about learners / clients is kept secure and is treated as strictly confidential.  FitEd will not disclose any information about their learners / clients to any 3rd party except in the following circumstances:

  • where we are required to by law
  • where we have your prior consent or you have asked us to do so
  • where we are instructing our employees or agents to provide services to you on our behalf
  • when we are required to do so by your employer (if applicable)
  • when we are required to do so by the enrolling college (if applicable)
  • when we are required to do so by the Awarding Body

By signing your Registration Form, disclaimer and Learner agreement you are agreeing to undertake your training. You have the right to cancel your course(s), providing we receive the request in writing within 14 days of you signing your registration form. If a refund is requested after a payment is made, FitEd is not liable to give a full refund due to administration charges. A refund will be based on any administration charges that have already occurred. After 14 days of signing, no cancellations are permitted and no refunds will be given.

When you book a package consisting of 2 or more courses, you are purchasing a single product. Once the first course has commenced, the whole package is deemed to have commenced. All courses that contain online learning via eLearning packages are deemed to have commenced as soon as you receive your log in details. You will be allocated course dates for the top up days; however, if these dates do not suit you, you are required to attend the next available top up days. All courses must be completed within 1 year of your training commencing.

If you fail to contact us to arrange a deferral prior to a top up day, you will forfeit your place and will therefore be required to pay for an additional top up day if you wish to re-book. If, owing to unforeseen circumstances, FitEd is compelled to change the agreed date or venue for a top up or assessment / examination day, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and will take reasonable steps to book you onto the earliest available top up or assessment / examination day convenient to you.

FitEd reserve the right to replace Tutors, Assessors and Internal Verifiers if necessary.  If, during a course period, it becomes necessary to change specific personnel, then we guarantee that the replacement personnel assigned shall be no less competent and experienced than those whom they shall replace.

Written assessments and exams

When taking an exam, submitting any worksheet or any written assessment, if you are unsuccessful with your first attempt you will be given the opportunity to re-take the exam or re-submit the case study free of charge. However, subsequent retakes and re-submissions will incur a charge.

If you are unable to meet an agreed deadline for either a worksheet or exam you may incur an administration charge, the amount depends on the length of additional time required. We advise learners to keep a copy of all work submitted for marking as we will ask you to pay the postal charge if you want us to return work to you. Work is only stored for 3 months, after this period it will be destroyed.

Practical assessments

Please note that for the Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instruction or Active IQ Level Certificate in Personal Training Course you must bring one suitable participant with you. Failure to do so will result in the assessment being cancelled and you having to pay again for a new assessment. If you fail an assessment and elect to take it again, or you wish to defer an assessment, an additional fee is payable.
